Event Guidelines

St. Charles Parish Public Schools is committed to the safety and wellbeing of our students, employees, and stakeholders at large. Therefore, the school system collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to develop the following safety protocols for all school events open to the community. We appreciate your support as we continue working together to provide all with an enjoyable event experience. 

• Any child not currently attending high school must be accompanied by an adult for admittance to any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center. This applies to all students in Pre-kindergarten through 8th Grade and children not yet enrolled in school.
   
• Any high school student must present their school ID if using a student ticket for entry to any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center.
   
• Metal detectors and/or handheld security wands may be utilized at any event hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center.
   
• A bag protocol applies to all events hosted by a school, the school system, or the Lafon Arts Center including events such as Grandparents’ Day, concerts, athletic competitions, etc. Allowed bags include any bag smaller than 4 x 6½ inches and clear bags which measure 12 x 12 inches or smaller. Any bag larger than 12 x 12 inches is not allowed. (Exceptions may be allowed for diaper and/or medical bags.) All bags are subject to search.
