Overview
St. Charles Parish Public Schools is committed to transparency and responsible stewardship of public resources. This webpage provides access to information related to the district’s independent financial consulting engagement with EisnerAmper, along with background information and frequently asked questions.
In late 2025 and early 2026, concerns regarding the district’s financial information surfaced and were subsequently substantiated through a review of financial records. The School Board acted promptly to report those concerns to appropriate authorities, engage an independent accounting consulting firm, implement corrective measures, and provide ongoing updates to employees, families, and the community.
The report submitted by EisnerAmper identified several contributing factors affecting the district’s financial position, including inaccurate or incomplete financial information, budgetary controls that did not support timely monitoring, and accounting practices that made it difficult to accurately assess the district’s financial position throughout the year. The report did not identify any misappropriation of funds.
In addition, an internal review of financial records showed that funds were temporarily transferred, without additional approval, from an operating account to an investment account and then back into the operating account. These transactions impacted how available balances were presented to the School Board.
Following identification of these issues, the School Board and administration implemented a number of measures to strengthen financial oversight, improve reporting practices, and enhance internal controls.
This Financial Review Information Center has been developed to provide the community with centralized access to the EisnerAmper report, a timeline of key events, and updates related to the district’s ongoing financial stabilization efforts.
