Bus Registration and WheresTheBus App

St. Charles Parish Public Schools is excited to welcome you to the 2024-2025 registration page for the bus and mobile app!   This will help students and families who utilize bus transportation.

The app is called “Where’s the Bus?” Before downloading the app, families are asked to complete bus registration.  If you registered for the app last school year, you do not need to complete this step again.  

Please note: If your child is 10 years of age or younger, you will be prompted to complete the 10 and under section.  

BUS REGISTRATION: July 2024

When registering for the bus, you must provide the address that your child will use for bus service. You must complete a registration for each child in your household if you want to utilize SCPPS bus transportation.

The registration process also requires the student ID number. Families can locate the student ID number in the PowerSchool Parent Portal and on the child's report card. If you are unable to locate your child’s student ID number, please contact the Technology Helpdesk at (985) 785-3126.

When registering for the bus, you will be asked to provide an email address as part of the registration process. This will allow for the system to send you an email confirmation of your registration submission. Please allow a few days to process this registration. Also, please note that bus numbers may change between now and the first day of school. Transportation is assigning bus operators to buses and will continue to update this until the start of school.

Students will be assigned to one bus for AM and PM services.  If you need to change your student's transportation address after the student is registered for a bus, please email that request to the transportation routing manager at kpaul1@WeAreSCPPS.org.

**Please make sure all contact information including address and emergency phone numbers are up-to-date at the assigned school.

Once you register for the bus, please register for the app. The app will also provide the bus number and an approximate pick-up time.  The app will allow you to have real-time information about your child’s bus number and pick-up time.  

WHERES THE BUS APP:

The app uses GPS to track the precise location of your child’s school bus in real time.

By using this app on your phone, you will know if the bus is running late in the morning or afternoon. You will also know when the bus is approaching the bus stop and when the bus is on its way home! This will assist and provide better service for families on bus arrival and departure times.

The app is free for both Apple and Android Devices, and keeps your personal information secured.

To sign up:

1.     Go to www.WheresTheBus.com

2.     Look for the “Parents” Section on the left, and click on the “Set Up Account” button.

3.     Select St. Charles Parish Public Schools from the drop down menu.

4.     Enter Parent and Student Information.

5.     Await further instructions in your emails once your information has been validated.
