Talented Programming
Talented Programming
St. Charles Parish provides services to students identified as “talented” in visual art, theatre, and music.
In kindergarten through second grade, students explore their talents through enrichment activities and performances.
Upper elementary and middle school talented visual art and talented theatre students are scheduled in a dedicated talented class with other identified students where the students work to strengthen their artistic craft and hone their skills in their area of talent. All of our arts classes work to achieve the National Core Arts Standards and challenge our young artists to move beyond the grade level standards.
High school students are provided the opportunity to schedule talented visual art and talented theatre courses throughout their years in high school.
All theatre students have multiple opportunities to perform and visual art students showcase their work in various art shows and venues.
Talented Music lessons are provided once a week during the school day to any student identified as talented in music.
