Free & Reduced Price Meal Applications

Beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, free breakfast and lunch meals will no longer automatically be available for all St. Charles Parish Public Schools’ students as the district’s federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) qualification period comes to an end.

Applying online is the fastest and most efficient way to apply for meal benefits.  However, paper meal applications may be obtained from the school cafeteria or the Child Nutrition Department.  Only ONE online application or paper application is needed per household.  Applications may be completed any time during the school year.  All applications are confidential.  Notification of approval or denial will be mailed to the household within ten working days of receipt of the application.  Students who do not have an approved application on file for the current school year will be required to pay full price until an application is approved. 

Students Receiving Free or Reduced Meal Price Meals the Previous School Year:

A new application must be provided for the 2026-2027 school year regardless of whether a child was receiving free or reduced price meals the previous school year.  To ensure that a child continues to receive free or reduced price meal benefits in the 2026-2027 school year without interruptions, a new application must be received by, September 8, 2026.  Parents who do not return an application on time will be required to pay full price for their child’s meal until an application is approved.  The application approval process can take up to 10 working days.  Please send money for your child’s meal during this period.
