ESSER Funding

St. Charles Parish Public Schools' American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) III proposal has been approved by the Louisiana Department of Education. The purpose of the ESSER III Fund is to support the sustainability and safe operations of schools while meeting students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The ESSER III Program runs through September 30, 2024.

ESSER III Funding Priorities

  • Career/College/Service Readiness
  • Equitable, Inclusive Learning
  • Quality Teaching and Learning
  • Effective Educator Workforce

ESSER III makes it possible for the school system to provide:

  • additional support for schools by increasing the number of teachers, interventionists, coaches, paraprofessionals, nurses, physical therapists, and mental health professionals,
  • additional professional learning and development opportunities for administrators and teams at both the district and school level,
  • materials and supplies for students with disabilities, and
  • support for preschool classes ranging from technology to student instructional licenses and academic support.

We thank those of you who provided support in making our plan strong.
