Welcome to New Sarpy Elementary School

  • New Sarpy Elementary School, home of the Mudbugs, serves students in Pre-Kindergarten through second grade. Led by Principal Rebecca Matherne, the school is home to more than 400 students and 60 employees. Our school offers an education for all students providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential by participating in numerous academic programs and the arts. We invite you to learn more about our school where we "Work hard. Stay kind. Repeat."

Announcements

  • All requests for a change in transportation from a student's usual routine must be in writing. No changes to assigned buses will be accepted.  All notes should be on a full sheet of paper and include: your child’s full name, the teacher’s name, dates of the changes, clear instructions for the change, and your signature. You can also email us at: NewSarpy1@stcharles.k12.la.us . No changes will be accepted after 2:30 pm and 11:35 am on early dismissal days.
