The mission of St. Charles Parish Public Schools is to develop empathetic, involved, productive, and responsible citizens by providing every student with high-quality educational experiences that empower each to become enthusiastic lifelong learners.

St. Charles Parish Public Schools, nestled along the banks of the Mississippi River in southeast Louisiana, has been at the forefront of education and is a leader among public schools in Louisiana. This close knit community takes pride in its Triple A school system focused on academics, athletics, and the arts.

Students of the Year Honored at Annual Ceremony

Norco Elementary School's Brynlee Perez, J.B. Martin Middle School's Layla Perkins, and Destrehan High School's Saniya Abbas were announced as St. Charles Parish Public Schools' 2024-2025 Students of the Year at a ceremony held on November 21, 2024, at the Dr. Rodney R. Lafon Performing Arts Center. Nine additional students were also recognized at the red carpet event as their individual school's Student of the Year.

SCPPS Score Increases for Third Year in a Row

The Louisiana Department of Education has released the latest school and district performance scores for K-12 public schools statewide, with St. Charles Parish Public Schools marking its third consecutive year of performance growth. The district’s continued rise in performance underscores its resilience in overcoming challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Ida.

Satellite Center Named Spotlight School by New Tech Network

New Tech Network has announced the Satellite Center as an NTN Spotlight School. NTN, a national nonprofit dedicated to systemic change in education, recognizes Spotlight Schools as schools that implement best practices in one or more of the NTN Focus Areas. These focus areas organize the work of whole-school transformation and help school communities understand the overarching goals that impact all phases of the school development process, helping students develop the skills required to succeed in college, career, or civic life.
