St. Charles Parish Public Schools Celebrates Central Office Renovation

St. Charles Parish Public Schools celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting of its renovated Central Office. The $8.7 million project was lauded by Superintendent Dr. Ken Oertling and Board President Ray Gregson as a critical investment in efficiency and educational equity. The new infrastructure features an expanded Board Room and dedicated modern workspaces, reinforcing the commitment to "You Belong Here" and the district’s core business of Teaching & Learning.

Applications for Scholarship Due December 1

Applications are currently being accepted for the Ethel Schoeffner Scholarship from college students currently majoring in education or nursing who graduated from Destrehan or Hahnville High School. The scholarship awards $500 per semester up to a maximum of $2,500.

Just the Facts: A Recap of the October School Board Meeting

The St. Charles Parish School Board held its monthly meeting on October 22, 2025, at the St. Charles Parish School Board Office in Luling. Agenda items included proclamations, bid authorization requests, personnel items, request for proposals and lobbying services, ratification of substantial completion at the School Board Office, Ad Hoc Committee recommendations, policy updates, and recognitions.
