SCPPS Participates in Several Exclusive NFL Super Bowl LIX Events

With Super Bowl LIX now in the books, St. Charles Parish Public Schools wrapped up a week filled with NFL events, excitement, and community engagement. From youth football camps and motivational talks, to hands-on learning experiences and family-friendly celebrations, students and families had the opportunity to engage with professional athletes and industry experts through a variety of interactive activities. These events not only celebrated the spirit of the game but also reinforced the school system and community’s dedication to fostering young minds and talents.

Students Shine in GNO Federal Credit Union Marketing Challenge

Satellite Center team members recently had the opportunity to showcase their creativity and marketing expertise through an exciting collaboration with GNO Federal Credit Union (GNO FCU). This hands-on project allowed nearly 40 students to develop innovative advertising concepts, crafting unique logos, mascots, and fresh marketing strategies for the financial institution.

GNO FCU will highlight the exceptional work of 11 dedicated student teams on its social media and marketing platforms. This initiative not only celebrates the students' talents but also provides them with invaluable real-world experience in branding and design.

Human Resources Department Hosts Celebration for New Teachers

On January 28, 2025, the Human Resources Department hosted a New Teacher Celebration at the Professional Learning Center in Luling to celebrate teachers new to St. Charles Parish Public Schools. New teachers who began working within the district this school year were invited to the event, where they were thanked for choosing SCPPS, celebrated for their dedication to students, and encouraged to continue in their rewarding yet demanding jobs.

School System Raises More Than $100,000 for United Way of St. Charles

St. Charles Parish Public Schools raised $114,119.16 for the United Way of St. Charles through its 2024 fundraising campaign. An overview of the school system’s campaign was presented to the school board at its meeting on January 15, 2025, where Superintendent Dr. Ken Oertling and School Board President Ray Gregson presented United Way of St. Charles Executive Director John Dias with a check on behalf of the school system’s employees and students.
